    Seeking Recommendations

Tuesday, October 23, 2007, 10:31 AM CST [General]

I would like to solicit some recommendations for help I feel I need from an hypnotist in the general area of Memphis, TN. First of all I feel I would respond better to a female hypnotist, I believe my inner consciousness would just be able to process information more effectively.

Specifically I am seeking help with some weight loss issues. I realize that as I grow older my metabolism has changed. I need help with positive reinforcment to help the mental adjustment, to the physical reality of being 55! The picture below is about the weight I want to return to. In total that would be around 30 lbs off my frame!

I would also like to explore past life regression. I have always sensed some aspects of my previous lives; yet have no clear outline of what those times were. I know I am an old soul. I feel a need to complete pieces of my inner jigsaw by better understanding the "self" I was in other times.

So I am hoping that the friends that I have made here, and others can offer some help to me. If you are able to help, I would be very appreciative of your support.

    Thank you in advance.....

    The English and Their Summers!

Monday, July 23, 2007, 11:37 AM CST [General]

I am sure most of you have seen the news coverage about the flooding in England. If, for any reason you have missed the news please check out BBC News on the web. The coverage includes many photographs. On Friday July 20th nearly 10 inches of rain fell in many parts of the UK. Any town close to a river has suffered flood damage. One town in particular has really suffered. The English country town of Tewkesbury is on TWO great rivers, The Avon and The Severn. The result? The town has become an island, with over 350,000 people without power, water or basic supplies. And as these rivers flow down stream the problem will only get worse. Worse still, more rain is forecast this week.

So if you thought your day might not be going well, or things did not seem to span out for you in the way you in the way you hoped, please spare a thought for those in a different place who are truly having a very bad day, and will have many bad days to come.

I will say this of my fellow country people. The way people have responded, reacted, and behaved in this crisis makes me very proud to be English. The spirit that resonates is that collectively the community will survive and rebuild. This time will pass. A good lesson for any of us whose day is blighted by things we cannot control!

    Albion

Saturday, July 14, 2007, 07:58 AM CST [General]

Tomorrow I jump on a flight that will take me first to Brussels and then, at the end of the week to England. I will be returning to Albion for the first time in 9 months and I am very excited about it! The Sagittarian in me loves travel; even with all the additional "inconvenience" we have to go through these days. Over the period of this trip I will practise my work - life balance. Something that has always been a challenge for me. I will be working and yet also seeing friends and taking vacation too. I will be at Stonehenge, one of the most awesome places I have ever visited.

My goal is to return to the States refreshed, recharged and re-focused. As I travel I will try and update my blog with some comments about what I experience and discover.

    Serendipity

Thursday, July 5, 2007, 01:06 PM CST [General]

Here is a curious series of "facts". The full moon on Saturday of last week seemed to trigger a series of bizarre events when things started to not work. First my car broke down, something it never does. An electrical fault was the cause of the problem. On Sunday the coffee maker (only a few months old) gave up working. Then on Monday I had to call Critter Control, another unexpected problem! Finally on Tuesday my cable and internet went out inexpiabley, only to return a couple of hours later. Now each of these occurances could be described as coincidence. Well, I do not believe in coincidence. Then a call to my mum in England yesterday revealed she too had had a series of things going wrong with appliances in and around her home for the same period of time. I began to feel as if I was under a "bad moon rising" (with apologies to Creedence Clearwater Revival

    Ley Lines

Monday, June 25, 2007, 08:19 AM CST [General]

Growing up in England the notion of ley lines is something that is both familar and frequently discussed. Ley lines are patterns of energy in the earth that criss-cross the land. For those who are attuned to these energy patterns it is possible to pin point their pressence and also experience the power that is emitted. Noteable structures built on ley lines include Stonehenge and stone circles like the Ring of Maidens; the village of Avebury, which is surrounded by a stone circle is also at a powerful centre of ley lines. Yet sinceĀ I have come to the USA I hear very little about ley lines here. Does anyone have any information on ley lines in the USA?
